Description

This is a set of 40 self-checking clip-it cards that help students identify medial vowel sounds in simple words. There are eight cards for each short vowel for a total of 40 cards. Each card features a picture, a word with a blank space for the medial vowel, and three letters. Students will determine the missing vowel and clip the correct number. The majority of the words are CVC words, and there are a few simple CCVC and CVCC words, all with picture support.

These cards are easy to prepare, and you can use them for years to come! Simply print on cardstock, cut out and laminate. Then, designate the correct answer on the pack of each card by placing a sticker or making a mark of some kind.

These clip-it cards are perfect for centers! They also make a fun reading group activity or early-finisher activity.
