Description

Do you need a quick and interactive way for your students to practice decoding words, reading simple sentences, and reading comprehension? This pack has 105 puzzles total, with 21 puzzles for each short vowel sound. The sentences are simple, include common high-frequency words, and use mostly CVC words with a few simple blends and digraphs. To use, students will read the sentence on a puzzle piece and match it to the picture that corresponds with the sentence.

These puzzles have many possible uses, including:

*Literacy centers

*Small group instruction

*Whole-group partner activity: Hand out sentences to half of your students and the corresponding pictures to the other half. Have them walk around the room to find the student who has their missing piece!
