Easy Father’s Day Crafts for Kindergarten

Looking for easy Father’s Day crafts for kindergarten? These simple projects make the perfect Father’s Day activity for kindergarten classrooms. Students will love creating meaningful keepsakes, and families will treasure the finished gifts for years to come.

Below, you’ll find two of my favorite Father’s Day crafts, plus a few read-aloud books that pair perfectly with these activities.

Father’s Day Tie Craft and Keepsake Book

If you’re looking for a Father’s Day craft that doubles as a meaningful gift, this Father’s Day Tie Book is one of my favorites. Students create a tie-shaped booklet and complete simple writing prompts about their dad, grandpa, uncle, or another special person in their life.

The completed craft becomes a keepsake that families will love reading for years to come. Students enjoy sharing their answers, and the tie shape makes the finished project feel extra special for Father’s Day.

On each page, students fill in the remainder of a special message to their dad. Here are the prompts:

My dad is really good at ____.

My dad likes to eat ____.

My dad likes to play ____.

My dad and I like to go to _____.

My dad likes to watch ______.

I love my dad because _______.

Here’s a picture of my dad and me.

FYI: The “grandpa”, “uncle”, and generic options change out the word “dad”.

This craft is easy to assemble and works well for kindergarten students because it combines writing, coloring, and creativity into one simple activity. It’s also a great way to encourage students to reflect on the people who support and care for them.

Father’s Day Coupon Book Craft

Another one of my favorite Father’s Day crafts is this Father’s Day Coupon Book. Instead of creating a traditional card, students make a booklet filled with thoughtful coupons that they can give as a gift.

The coupons include acts of kindness such as helping with chores, giving hugs, a game night, and more. Students love choosing coupons and personalizing their gift.

This craft is especially popular because it gives students a way to create a meaningful Father’s Day gift without requiring expensive supplies. Families appreciate receiving something thoughtful, and students feel proud knowing they created a gift from the heart!

One of my favorite ways to introduce these Father’s Day activities is with a special read aloud. Reading a book before completing these Father’s Day crafts helps students brainstorm ideas and think about the important people in their lives.

Here are a few Father’s Day books that work well in kindergarten:

My Dad Used to Be So Cool by: Keith Negley
