Get your classroom ready for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration! With just a few days until March 17, it’s time to start planning activities that will make St. Patrick’s Day come to life in your classroom . One of the quickest, easiest and most enjoyable ways to do this is to use some fun read alouds! Reading aloud is an engaging activity that children love, which is why I’m sharing some of my favorite read alouds that are perfect for getting your students excited about St. Patrick’s Day!

Using St. Patrick’s Day Read Alouds in the Classroom
Read alouds can be used in so many different ways in our classrooms. For example, it’s easy to take a few minutes before a transition or at the end of the day to gather at the carpet and share a story.
If you’re like me and always looking for ways to sneak in more time reading to your students, try adding a read aloud to your daily instruction! Holiday and seasonal read alouds are the perfect way to capture your students’ attention as you begin a lesson.
Read alouds don’t have to be just for literacy time! After reading about a pot of gold, you can review missing numbers and number order with this thematic practice page from my March No-Prep Pack.
Or, after reading about looking for a pot of gold, students can “hide” their own pot of gold and write about it!
