End of the Year Awards for Students (Kindergarten Edition!)

The end of the school year is such a special time in kindergarten…but let’s be honest: it’s also a lot. Between memory books and field days, adding one more thing can feel overwhelming. But it’s also important to take time to recognize the growth your students have made. If you’re searching for an easy way to make your students feel extra special, end of the year awards are such a fun and meaningful option. They’re a simple way to celebrate each child’s growth, personality, and accomplishments as you wrap up your year together.

Today, I’m going to share about a wonderful time-saving resource. My end of the year awards for kindergarten are simple and meaningful, and they give every child a moment to feel seen, celebrated, and proud of how much they’ve grown this year.

And the best part? They don’t have to be complicated to be memorable.

Simple End of the Year Awards for Students (That Don’t Add Extra Work)

If you’ve ever tried to come up with awards on your own, you know how time-consuming it can be! On top of creating the awards, it takes time to make sure every student has something unique, positive, and meaningful.

That’s why I created my own set of end of the year awards that are ready to go. It’s one less thing to have to worry about at the end of the year. There are enough awards so you can find the perfect one for each student! Because let’s be real: every class has a mix of learners, leaders, helpers, and big personalities, and they all deserve to be recognized.

This set includes:

  • 63 unique awards (so you’ll have plenty of options!)
  • Editable formats in both Adobe and PowerPoint
  • A mix of academic, social, and fun personality-based awards

These awards are unique because they’re designed especially for kindergarten, so there are kindergarten-relevant academic awards, plus helper and friendship awards that will suit the needs of your kindergarten class.

Ideas for Using End of the Year Awards in Your Classroom

Not sure how to fit awards into your already packed schedule? Here are a few easy ways to make it work:

1. Keep It Simple (Last Day Surprise)

Hand out awards on the last day of school as a special send-off. Quick, easy, and still meaningful.

2. Host a Mini Awards Ceremony

Create a short classroom celebration! It doesn’t have to be over the top. Here’s all you’ll need to do:

  • Play music
  • Call students up one by one
  • Snap a quick photo

It doesn’t have to be extra fancy to feel special!

3. Add Them to Graduation Day

If you do a kindergarten graduation ceremony, awards are the perfect addition to make each student feel individually recognized.

Using the Editable Text Feature

Personally, I love the polished look of typing students’ names onto awards. I included editable versions in both Adobe and Powerpoint so you can type, print, and be done! However, you can definitely just print the awards on cardstock and write on them.

Just type your students’ names, add your name and date, and you’re done. Or mix it up by typing students’ names and the date, and then signing your signature!
