Fall Bulletin Board Ideas for Kindergarten

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year in my kindergarten classroom. The colors, themes, and seasonal activities make it easy to create bulletin boards that brighten your walls and showcase student work. If you’re like me and always looking for fresh and simple fall bulletin board ideas, I’ve put together a few that combine learning with creativity. The best part? They double as hands-on math and literacy practice for your students!

Apple Tree Counting Craft

Nothing says fall like apples! This apple tree counting craft gives students the chance to practice counting and tracing numbers to ten while also creating a project that looks perfect on a bulletin board. Each student builds their own apple tree, then traces the numbers 1-10 on the apples. Finally, they will glue the apples onto the tree and fill in the blank on the tree trunk.

Apple Seed Counting Craft

If you’re looking for a different twist on the apple theme, my apple seed counting craft is a great choice. Students use seeds to practice counting to ten, which reinforces one-to-one correspondence in a hands-on way. The finished projects are just adorable!

Apple Tree Name Craft

Fall bulletin boards aren’t just for math! This apple tree name craft is perfect for reinforcing the letters in your students’ names. Students build their tree and add the letters of their name as apples. It’s a wonderful back-to-school activity and also works as a fall-themed name practice project.

Sunflower Counting Craft

Sunflowers are another fun fall symbol (especially here in Kansas!) and they look gorgeous on a bulletin board! In this sunflower counting craft, students build their own sunflower. They practice counting by tens by gluing the sunflower petals on in the correct oder. This craft instantly brings so much brightness to your classroom walls, even on the grayest fall days.
