Fire Safety Week Activities for Kindergarten
Fire Safety Week is the perfect time to help your students learn about fire safety rules in fun and developmentally-appropriate ways. In kindergarten, read alouds, crafts, and simple themed activities go a long way in making safety lessons stick. Today I’m sharing several activities and printable resources you can use with your fire safety lessons!
Fire Safety Helper Hat Craft
This craft includes simple templates to create a hat. The side bands include a matching activity that reviews basic fire safety rules. Your students will be so proud to wear their fire safety helper hats home after learning about fire safety!
You can use this craft as a culminating activity after reading a fire safety book, or as part of your classroom discussion about community helpers. Best of all, the hats serve as a take-home reminder so students can have conversations with families about what they learned at school!
Fire Safety Worksheets
This pack gives you enough activities to last many days. It includes fire safety activities, plus fire safety-themed fine motor, math, and literacy activities.
They have so many classroom uses! You can use them for morning work during Fire Safety Week. They’re also great to incorporate into your math or literacy lessons and centers. I also included a cover page so you can staple the pages together.
Fire Safety Mini Book
This printable mini book introduces important fire safety concepts in an age-appropriate way. Your students can read, color, and take the book home to share with their families. Mini books have always been a hit in my classroom!
